I had a post almost done about last weekends big event but it morphed into a long tale about my car woes, and I bored even myself. So here’s attempt number two. Still as boring but whole new content! For interesting reads (with pictures even - I have none) about last weekend, visit some of these girls that know how to use their words.

Here, at the illiterates wordless wonders place, I actually have a finished object. I know! I’m shocked too!

Still life: Scarf on a Rocker

Pattern: Branching Out
Yarn: Louet KidLin Lace Weight in the Woodland colorway
Size: 7″ by 70″
Modifications: None :)
Ralvelry details here

I know now why this pattern is so darn popular, once you get going you just cant stop. Simple enough that you can pick it up and put it down with ease, yet engaging enough to keep you wanting more. The yarn, oh my the yarn - I loved it. It was my first time working with this stuff and now I must get more.

I also love that I got this yarn off the Karma Yarn Swap board (one of my favorite Ravelry groups) and then used it for the Branching Out KAL they have going on the Karma boards. It’s like uber karma. Totally karmalicious. Ultra karma goodness. I’ll stop now, but I could go on :)

Hold on to your pants because believe it or not I have another finished object. I know! but we’ll be saving that for next time. I still have to get pictures and stuff together.

Have a wonderful holiday weekend all. Stay safe and fire free :)

Oh wow, it’s absolutely stunning! It immediately got the ‘i want one!’ reaction out of me. And thanks for the yarn recommendation, i’m always wondering about the best laceweights.

Oh wow, it came out just gorgeous! This why we knit lace, it instantly makes us look like wizards of wool (or linen as it were).

How is KidLin? It is a very interesting combination of fibers.

Thats a really beautiful Branching Out. Gorgeous yarn. I love that pattern too. I made one for myself last winter, and I want to make another to give away, in a different yarn, and another….lol

Another FO? Be still my heart!

I once put that Branching Out pattern in the middle of a baby blanket. It’s a nice one.
