Battle of the wits, or how a 16 year old totally manipulates his 3 year old brother to say what he wants to hear. Actual kitchen conversation the other day:

Z: Nathan - your sexy!
LM: I’m not saxy! I’m Nattan!
Z: No, Nathan, your sexy.
LM: I’m not saxy! Your saxy!
Z: I knooow…

Crazy!

On a trip to the library recently I noticed this real nice postcard with a waterfall on it. When the librarian informed me that this waterfall was right here in town I got a little excited and knew I had to find it. Well we found it, and finally went on Monday. It’s was a gorgeous day, and this place was totally awesome! And for once I remembered my camera.

the start
The beginning of the trail

There are three trails to choose from and we went with the green, so why did I take a picture of the blue?

one of three trails
Trail marker

It’s a short walk, about a half mile and your there, and it’s beautiful. I loved everything about it and am so happy to find a thinking spot again, because everybody needs a good thinking spot for mind clearing. I would love to show you a picture of the actual waterfall, but of course my camera battery died right at the moment. Crazy!

More craziness yesterday was this blogs 3rd birthday! Who knew? In three years I’ve managed 185 posts (guess this will be 186) and almost 500 comments. Yeah, I’m speedy like that. My average then is a post every 5.9 days - crazy!

I think a little more craziness may be in order. How about a Loopy Ewe gift certificate to the 500th comment. Taking the easy way out since I still have not charged the camera battery. And if for some reason, the comments go crazy I’ll pick a second winner, for the same at random. My first official blog contest - crazy! .

See ya in 5.9 days :)

eta: A cut of date - which will be Friday the 30th.

I almost peed my pants when you relayed that story on the way to Cummington. I swear your kids ALMOST make me want to have my own. *grin* Then I remember you trying to knit in the bathroom.

Taking a picture of the blue trail marker and going on a different trail sounds like something I would do.

Your new “thinking spot” is really lovely. Hope you find lot’s of time to use it, but I guess if you had lots of time, you wouldn’t need it….?
    Oh and, Happy Blogiversary!

5.9 days is pretty good, I think. That’s once a week, sometimes twice. I should figure out my own posting frequency, but I’m pretty sure you’re doing better than I am–must be the extra year of practice. :)

And the Loopy Ewe! I only just discovered that place a few weeks ago–wow, what a shop…

    Happy blogiversary!
