I love how Earth Day’s popularity grows every year.
The other week missy made some ear rings out of soda pop tabs and I thought they would make perfect fodder for an Earth Day post. Well, yeah, then I totally missed it, but it’s never to late for such creative masterpieces :)

Not much to look at when they are lying on the fence post picking up the sun, it’s when they are in the ears that they really shine.

What I love most about these is the simple fact that re-using and looking at things from a different perspective is so instilled in my missy that she came up with these in no time flat. The posts are from some old broken ear rings, the black hemp from the craft box, and the tabs from the recycle box.
Recycle, reduce, re-use, oh yeah!

Those are fantastic! She might be on to something there.
Very clever, and a smart use of materials. You have a good eye for design.
Are you selling them. If so can I order a pair.
Way cool! I love them! The possibilities are endless… I think I might copycat and crochet with thread around the outside of ‘em.
What an awesome idea! I’m wondering if they tinkle like little bells when they blow in the wind? I’m thinking I’ll have to give it a try myself… would you mind? I think they would make great gifts. :O)
How clever! I love the way they are staggered and not clumped together and they would be so light weight.
Nice.
Those should become the *official* Earth Day jewelry! Great idea - wish I’d had it. :-)
What a neat thing to make for Earth Day!!! Clever on your part; I would never have thought of anything that cool to do with those tabs.
These are definitely the most innovative way i have seen to re-use metal soda caps. To be quite honest, these look like something that could be sold at Urban Outfitters. so creative.Great Job :)
Love the earrings, I showed them to my 9 year-old and she wants a pair :) Thanks for the inspiration!
Hey, pretty good idea! I bet she could make some cool matching things like necklace and bracelet! Makes me thing about taking some and decorating the outside of a purse! You have a talented kid!
Way cool! What a great way to recycle!
