Architecture
Art and science melding together, what’s not to love?
I’m lucky enough to live mere moments away from Hudson, NY. A city filled with character and charm mostly of the 19th century.
These were all taken on Warren Street last week on a very cold a gray day.
This house (picture taken on the same cold and gray day) is my dream house :) I was all excited a couple of months ago thinking the sign in front of it was a for sale sign. Not. It has been freshly painted and it was just the painters sign. Which I guess is a good thing, considering I’m totally not able to buy a new home at the moment. But a woman can dream can’t she?
One day she will be mine :)

Beautiful pictures! I think the first one is my favorite.
Cool post! I love a big porch. They make a house seem so inviting. The cupola is great too. That is a great house.
Lovely! That would be my dream house too. I love architecture (wanting to be one while in High School–except for the math and physics). Amazing sites!
I know that house! We used to live in Cornwallville, NY (about 10 minutes from Durham) and would frequent Hudson often. It has come a looong way since then. Keep stalking that house. You never know ;-)
I love that house! If it does go up for sale….. Heh, what would I do? Fight you for it? Pete would never allow a house like that anyway, we are still negotiating house vs. condo. I hope win that one.
Can’t blame you for liking that house! The turret totally makes it. :)
That house is amazing. Definitely can’t blame you for wanting it because -=giggle=- I want one too! I live in Albany, New York and the architecture is very similar. If fact, my apartment is a historical brownstone. I saw the beautiful design work and I knew that the apartment had to be mine, -=giggle=-
