Remember awhile ago I dyed that garish stuff I referred to as goulash on crack? Here’s a bit of reminder:

Well I spun it up and now it’s an underwater delight. It really reminds me of the coral reefs from my younger days. I love how spinning totally mellowed it out. The garish orange is now a charming coral color.

It’s approximately 90 yards at 8wpi, and I can’t wait to see what it does next.

See, I told you! Like I said at knitting… it’s beautiful, truly gorgeous. I’d buy roving that looked like that, and I’d certainly buy yarn that looked like that. Don’t let Harriet see it, she loves teal. ;)

Love it! Good work. It’s always interesting to see how spinning changes a roving.

It is absolutely true. I think that the best handspun come from rovings wtih ridiculously, insane colors. That is why I will no longer be conservative with my dyeing roving. Great job! The color is definitely lovely as a handspun. I like the way the plying integrates the colors.

That did come out quite nicely! It looks a lot like a yarn I ended up with from spinning Baltic colorway from Ashland Bay. I have to figure out if I have enough yardage to do something with it.

I love it. You just never know! So, what will you knit with it?

Nor can I. I love the greens and blues with the subtle play of other colors in there. And I just got a bunch of undyed superwash roving…

Ok, that ALMOST makes me want to spin, I love your yarn!
Thanks for your comment on my old pink plastic needles- we must be the Sisterhood of the Pink 10’s , and I agree, they are actually great to work with. Take that, you fancy Addi Turbos ;-)
