I really do not like Mondays. It’s always so hard to get back into the weekday groove after the short two day break, and that short two day break zips by much to quickly for my liking.

How do people post on their blogs everyday with something of interest? And what exactly happened to all those great ideas I had?

I fit in two hours of knitting today and made absolutely no progress. All the excitement I had at finally reaching the tangled part of the Tangled Yoke cardigan are now fleeting. The cable does not really become instinctive, (I guess because it’s sideways) so there is a lot of counting going on. I can not count with children in my presence.

Day light savings time is kicking me hard. Darkness comes way to early.

Driving to traffic court today took longer than the amount of time needed for me to check in and the judge to dismiss my case. Yeah for dismissal of silly tickets. Last week when little man was not feeling well I ran to the open 24 hour grocery store to pick up some apple juice and childrens Tylenol. It was about 2 am and I had just passed a drug store that looked like it may have been open, so I pulled over to check it out. Well I must have pulled over to quickly because that’s when I saw the big red lights. After totally blinding me with their flashlights they ended up giving me a ticket for never updating my address on my license. So Friday I went to the DMV and updated my license. It’s a sticker, that I had to write my new address on, and then stick it on the back of my license. Yeah technology.

The drugstore was not open.

This new village I live in does the strangest thing with leaves. Everyone racks their leaves over the curb and then into the street. I guess a village truck then comes and sucks them up, but it’s so darn tempting. All I want to do is drive my car right through the leaves and make them fly every where.

When such ideas come into your head you should not express them out loud to the children in the car at the time. Then they too want you to drive the car through the pile of leaves. Oh so tempting, but I did remain the grown up.

Sometimes I really hate being the grown up.

Until tomorrow :)

Hahah - I’m with you. Big piles of leaves are meant for mischief! My town makes us put our leaves in a gazillion leaf bags and wait for dump trucks to pick them up. Of course the rains come and drench the bags before the trucks arrive. Silly system. Leaf sucking trucks make much more sense! Glad your ticket was dismissed.

I doubt I could have remained constrained enough to leave the leaves alone. MST is kicking my ass, too…sigh.
