Where is the time going? I can’t believe we are already half way through October, and Rhinebeck is next weekend. Oh my goodness – next weekend!

It’s been a crazy week highlights and lowlights:

Saturday: Harvest party at our old neighbors house. It was a blast! Football, baseball, tree-climbing, run-away bunnies and goats to pet, hay ride, great food, good friends, scare crow building contest, beautiful fall day, and I brought my camera but did not click one shot.

Tuesday: Drove 160 miles to shuttle the boys soccer team.
Thursday: I was pulled over by the cops twice. Once in the morning driving the kids to school. My back license plate fell off somewhere between home and the Ikea in Paramus on our last trip. I just took the one off in the front and put it on the back once we noticed. Well apparently you should really report that stuff to the DMV. No ticket – yeah. Second time was in the afternoon while doing some running around for my mother-in-law. I guess the dancing I was doing in my seat while driving looked like I was having some kind of convulsions. (boy, does that say something about my moves or what?) Little man’s newest game is to yell dance, and well we (I) do :) Again no ticket, some mild embarrassment, and no mention of the missing front plate. Then I drove 160 miles to shuttle the girls volley-ball team.

Friday: Red Scarf was finished and mailed.

I think I might need a new camera - it keeps doing that white fuzzy haze thing on the bottom.

Of course in my haste I forgot to take a finished photo. Well, it basically looks the same as pictured, except it’s longer, and no longer has a ball of yarn attached to it.
Saturday: Did not even get out of my pajamas. Had a family cleaning day (7 loads of laundry even -oy) and then did the big veg in front of the boob-tube. Enjoyed the rain from the comforts of the home.
Today: It’s already yesterday. See how this time thing is working for me.

Believe it or not there has been more knitting and spinning this week – hopefully tomorrow (well, later today)I’ll get a moment to update it here.

*grin* We did the jammie thing yesterday too! I almost died laughing when I read the part about Nathan yelling DANCE and you getting pulled over. That’s FABULOUS! It’s like he’s a little evil mastermind, “Dance, my pretties, DANCE!”

    *LOL*

I’ve been knitting my fool head off too. See you tomorrow? We’ve gotta plan our attack on Saturday. :)

That looks like the same Cascade yarn I used for one of mine. (Not to worry, Norma, there are only two.) I sort of like those never-get-dressed days — except usually someone has to go somewhere, so I end up throwing on a sweatshirt and pants (as an honors graduate of the Bill Belichick School of Modeling and High Fashion) and occasionally even a bra, not necessarily in that order.

I can’t find your email anywhere so here I am.

SOAR was great and you should definitely go. Did you see Claire’s review on Knitter’s Review? Fantastic. It’s worth every penny. 3 meals a day are included in the lodging price and just under $100 per day for that caliber of instruction is definitely worth it. There are special meals and programs and … well, I think it’s worth it. It’s in the Poconos in PA next year.

I can’t go to Rhinebeck cause I can only be gone from the shop for so long and I homeschool so I had to choose only one;-( Please give us a complete rundown.

Also, if you think of it, last year there was a guy who had lamps with small spinning wheels on them, could you tell me who he is so I can get him to mail me one? I don’t know who else is going.

    Have a great time!
