Ch-ch-ch-ch-changes
(turn and face the strain)
Ch-ch-ch-ch-changes…this song has been playing in my head for days.
Much has happened since you have last heard from me, and for this I apologize. Those that have been around for awhile know that when life gets crazy – I get quite. And boy! has life been throwing the crazies around here.
- Re-read the whole Harry Potter series, and finally read the Friday Night Knit Club.
- Totally lost (as in never, ever to be found) my first ever knit in progress. A wonderful pair of socks I was knitting with the two circular needle method. Still must replace those suckers.
- Officially become the mom of two teen-agers (Missy turned 13 in May)
- Received my first sock club package from the Loopy Ewe. Good stuff Maynard!
- Said good-bye to a grandfather.
- Spent a wonderful day spinning outside with friends.
- Went to Cummington.
- Said good-bye to wonder car who managed to reach 198,000 miles before her tranny kicked the bucket.
- Managed to still hang with the girls on Tuesday nights.
- I have had both of my life verses reaffirmed many times lately (both of which can be found in Philippians chapter 4)
I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me. (Phil 4:12) and,
Rejoice in the Lord alway: and again I say, Rejoice. (Phil 4:4) - Attended the MA sheep and wool show, and brought home some wonderful goodies.
- Had a wonder stash swap and birthday celebration with the girls.
- And just a few moments ago I got the final word, we got the apartment we were hoping for. Yeah! Not an easy feat considering I do not have a job that actually pays money (which is next on the list of things to do).
Since you have last heard from me I have:
Needless to say, I’m skipping over many details. This here is a knitting (and other crafty wonders) blog and not much knitting has been going on. Spinning, spinning has kept me calm and on the go. Much of it non-blog worthy because it’s been the “I’m totally stressed out and this is all I can manage at the moment” spinning. But I did finish up some beautiful sock yarn with fiber I received from Monica (who now has beautiful baby Lily to take care of,) and the fiber I bought from Tina still looks gorgeous even with my mad thick/thin singles.
I think I’m experiencing what is known as a sea-change. Shakespeare insists that such a transformation leads to “something rich and strange.” Rich, I’m still waiting for, but strange, oh yeah – got that covered.
It’s all good, or at least will be in due time.
I will still be sketchy with a move going on and all, but blogging and regular blog reading will be back as soon as we are settled. I’ll get back to commenting and posts will have pictures and everything! :)
Thanks for sticking by all!

Aha! I have finally updated to the correct feed… so there! You know you have, like, 6 of them… right?
You know that I’m here for you, rain or shine, as much as I possibly can be. It’s another chapter in your life and I plan to be there to find out what happens. :)
Good luck with everything. If you need anything, let me know.
BTW, what needles did you lose? I have a sea of circs, I might be able to help you out. :)
I’m so glad to hear that you got the apartment! I’ve been thinking about you, trying to send good warm fuzzy thoughts your way. Some extra good vibes never hurt! I’m hear if you ever need to talk! You can email me or get my cell number from Tina and Katie.
What the hell is spinning? Some kind of dance? I remember hanging out at the Concert Factory back in the 80’s and there was a spinning dance thing going on… Is that back? Next you’re going to say the Specials are back together.. Is it So?
