Lately I’m suffering from a major case of startitis, but I’m attempting to hold it back. I really need to clear up some of the already started before going forth with anything new. It’s the right thing to do. It’s a conscience decision. It’s freaking hard! I lust for so much.
New socks are calling out to me.
New sweaters are calling out to me.
New hats are calling out to me.
And new jackets are calling out to me.

Can you hear them? Because I swear they’re screaming pretty loudly.
I have been pacifying myself with Lady E (just about ready to start the fourth skein) and spinning. Notice that I’m not pacifying myself by actually picking up a WIP that needs just a bit of finishing detail. Oh no, that would be smart and sane. No, I just keep putting those off trying to totally drive myself crazy. The battle has begun.
My spinning is improving though. One of my goals this year was to spend at least 20 minutes a day on the wheel. I don’t make the goal everyday, but I’m averaging about 5 days out of the week. That little bit of time is really helping, and it’s so exciting and fun to see the bits of improvement.
The highlight for today: my husband bought my son a car. Let’s rephrase that. My husband bought my little baby boy a death trap with wheels. The idea that Zach will be able to drive in less year at times does not sit well with me, then again at other times it sits very well. Nothing more exciting than sending number one son out to do the nonsense, but needed errands. Actually it’s a pretty nice car for the price - $250. Actually it’s nicer (and newer) than what I drive. Hmm, now that’s not right.
Enjoy the rest of the weekend all.

That Phildar jacket is gorgeous. Tell those sock voices not to visit me,
Li
the yarn for that jacket is lovely; i hadn’t heard of it before. and your swatch looks great. which phildar book is it from?
I LOVE the new layout ‘Chelle. :)
And the jacket’s pretty too. But I really love the new layout!
My first car cost a whole $600 - I loved that car. Sigh. Too bad it’s gone. Our current car is probably worth about $250 - so don’t fret, you’re not alone.
