Lesson learned today: do not bring your 2 year old into your bed at 4:30am and fall immediately back to sleep, this is especially true if the little one decides to stay awake. Little boys left to their own devices (and with no one conscious to tell him no) will get into all possible with their investigatory ways. How was I awoken this morning? With little man screaming because he had gotten into the muscle rub, and then went and wiped his eyes (ouch). After a thorough eye washing I finally noticed the disaster we like to call the master bedroom. Oh my goodness, you could not see the floor. Pictures waiting to get put into albums scattered about, and yarn, yarn! Strung around everything – everything!
Let’s move on to better things why don’t we :-)

Here’s my contribution to the Square Along. The yarn is from Spirit Trail Fiberworks, and was my very first sock yarn purchase (thanks to Jaya). The starting was rough for me, the double points would not cooperate – so I went with the two circular method – which has become the norm for myself. Oh but I love this yarn, especially the colors.

Then there’s my contribution for the Red Scarf Project, which finally released itself from the black hole of knitting which it entered the night before last. The need of three more inches went on forever, there really must be something wrong with my measuring tape, you know. The yarn is Cascade 220 and the pattern is the Irish Hiking Scarf once again. It’s a classic that I keep falling back on.

And again because I’m really loving the close ups

And since this has become quite the going along type of post here is one more for you :-) Kat is asking us to show our wallpaper, so here is mine. The picture was taken last year at Webs while standing in line waiting for the harlot’s signature. Does he not look totally happy and even a bit excited to be there. Train them young I say :-)

Now I’m off to knit for a bit while little man is still napping. I have a scarf to finish for a birthday gift that of course is needed for tomorrow.
Have a great weekend!

Beautiful red hiker scarf- it’ll be appreciated!
And thanks for your comment on my sweater-to-go-with-a-button. Glad I’m not alone in thinking its a perfectly good way to do things.
YAY LITTLE MAN! You know that your son is the only baby I’ve ever gotten to watch grow up, right? And I adore him. Much love to Nathan.
I’m so glad that the Red Scarf is off your needles and on to a happy college student. Not only is it beautiful, but now you don’t have the guilt weighing you down. :)
And just so you know, I wanted to comment on the blog tagline thing but I couldn’t seem to find the comment box. My idea was:
“Textile Junkie: Crack Would Be Cheaper!”
