Pattern: Shetland Triangle from Wrap Style
Yarn: Handmaiden Sea Silk in Mineral - just one skein
Size: 55″ across the top and 27″ deep
Modifications: 12 repeats of the pattern completed and only half of the edging
Needles: Sized 7 Addi Turbos
This pattern is very easy to follow and to memorize, and just so darn beautiful in the end. The yarn, well I just can’t say enough about the yarn. So smooth, silky and just a wonderful treat for the fingers. I squeezed as much shawl as I could out of this one skein and it worked. I did have that miss calculation so the edging is not complete, but done enough to finish the pattern repeat so it does not have an unfinished look. It just doesn’t have the extra “ta-da” ending. Size wise (for me) it could be a little larger but I’m not complaining.

I really want to do this one again - but I’m thinking in a rectangular version, much more my style. And I must give Bev one more thank you for the birthday present that brought me so tactile pleasure - your the best.
So where is your Shetland Triangle? Come on you know you want one :-)

It’s gorgeous Michelle!
LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE. Yes. I do indeed love the shawl. Love the yarn. Love the alien face!
By the way… The letter L doesn’t get any love from you does it? ;) What is it with you and dropping the L from Shawl? *grin* It’s like you’ve got a personal vendetta or something! You and Steve… he has a thing with the ‘teh’.
*grin* You know I was teasing you about the L, right? *hugs*
I’m so happy the yarn gave you joy and you made it so beautiful. The pattern really brings out the sheen in it. Great job - it looks like an heirloom.
Your shawl looks really lovely! I like the around the neck view, it looks good worn that way.
Great shawl, fun pattern. Beautiful job.
Absolutely exquisite!
I’ve been toying with a rectangular version for a while.
If you want the stitch pattern for a rectangle you know where to find me. x
