October is over, and once again I find myself unprepared. The months are just zipping by and I swear tomorrow will be Christmas.
The end of October also brings the end of Socktoberfest. I had such mighty aspirations. I was going to finish up some singletons giving them sisters and brothers, and I was going to make me some new lacy knee-highs. Didn’t happen. Not even close. I never even found the time to coral the singletons, let alone knit the second for a pair. The lacy knee-highs - well you could call them started. If you squint your eyes and turn your head real fast you might even see an inch or two, then again maybe not.

I did learn a new cast-on and acquired some lovely new sock yarns during the month. I also spun two bobbins of the Sheep 2 Shoe (Blue moon Fibers) super wash merino and have the third one started. Can these facts alone make it a success for myself?

I think not. I’m a total drop out when it comes to KAL’s. I always have the best intentions but never seem to produce the goods, and it’s not for lack of love for the project. Even when the KAL’s require no knitting - have you noticed my fizzle on the ABC along. I got a little behind, skipped a few, then kaput. Nada. Nothing. But I’m always still figuring out the pictures to take, I just never seem to get around to taking them.
So what does one do when they realize they are a dropout? Well they make a button of course.

We, the non-completer’s, the unintentional drop-outs, the ones with KAL issues still need pretty buttons for our sidebars. We will still join KAL’s with the best intentions, the actual intention to complete said KAL, but if for some reason we don’t we now have our backs covered.
It would be really great if some others would make and contribute some buttons. I’m not so happy with this one and a nice selection would be cool.
