I’m really loving the Karabella Breeze I’m using for the Clapotis, but… Then a thought entered my mind - this yarn would be perfect for the Ivy I want to start. I did a mini swatch with the Quechua, but for whatever reason I did not feel the love. For such a smooth yarn in the skein, it works up a bit on the fuzzy side.

Because the KB would be the perfect yarn for Ivy, of course I did not have enough for the pattern in my stash, I was approx 136 yards short. Man, all I needed was just one more skein. One more itty bitty skein and I would be good to go, ripping out the bit I have done on the Clapotis, making enough yarn for Ivy.

I bought this yarn at my LYS last summer during the annual summerfest sale where I grabbed all that remained on the shelf at the time. I knew the odds were totally against me but I still needed to check it out. Maybe, just maybe, the stars would align for once in my favor. Hey, never know, right?

Well, s&*t, and shinolla, and bark at the moon! Not one but three skeins were found, even in the same dye lot. Now I have enough for a mini clap and Ivy.

It’s a good thing.

Other stuff: We were knocked out of the playoffs last night, but we did give them a run for their money. Awards ceremony is Friday and then I’m all done with volleyball for the year. Whew

Camera is still MIA - now I’m off to check under the couch cushions
