First the totally fab…
Friday: Bride/Groom party with music, knitting, and friends - who could ask for more.
Saturday: The big event. The day was perfect. Beautiful, totally beautiful.

Then today: I won a prize! This totally made my day, I never win anything. Now I have Felicia’s Coffee Bean sock yarn coming my way. I love that Felicia’s stuff is now being sold through other vendors because now I actually have the chance to get it. I have admired her work for so long, and I absolutely love her sock yarn. I hated when she would post new wares to her store and they would be sold out before I even had a chance to browse. I love it when small grows big due to shear talent. Not only do I love sweetgeorgia but I love Sheri’s new online sock yarn store The Loopy Ewe. If you have not been there yet you must check it out. Great yarn, great prices, and a frequent buyer program - love it.
You think I could fit the word love in there a couple more times?
The not so fab…
I did not finish Tina’s (hopefully) sexy little number…yet. I still have a bit of time before they take off to their honeymoon, and I will make it. It’s this || close I tell you. My goal was to stay up all night Thursday and knit away so I would have it ready to go for Friday, uh but I sort of passed out. Darn sleep always taking over when you have no time for it. After totally stressing out, then realizing there is nothing more I could do, I finally accepted defeat. It was hard, but then again I really had no other choice.
To add to my already guilt ridden self Jaya’s shawl for Tina is gorgeous, totally and awesomely gorgeous! Boy that Jaya can really make you feel like a total twit :) But then Tina knows us both very well. Jaya gave her total Jaya, and me, well I’m giving her all me. I did not realize this until today, while slipping some more knitting in during a stolen moment from the kids in the *bathroom. We are both giving her our gifts of love with the included quirks of just being us. I really like that idea.
Now I’m off to grab a few more knitting moments before I crash and burn for the evening, because you know I’m this close to finishing, and the rest of the week is going to be total choas. This is the first Monday in a long time that I did not want to end. It was an absolutely gorgeous and perfect fall day.
*Yes I knit in the bathroom, but only when absolutely necessary. It’s definitely not the comfiest of places but it does give me kid free moments. The kids have not caught on yet even though a couple of times I have left the bathroom after a knitting episode to go right back in for an actual use. I think they just think I’m having stomach problems or something. They don’t ask and I don’t tell.

So if I give her a gift that’s totally me, does that mean it’s a smart mouth too? ;) Seriously though, I never meant to make you feel like a twit. I just had to prove that I’d have it done in time, since you teased me. See, it’s all your fault! ;)
Hey - thanks for the shout out about The Loopy Ewe! I’m excited to have Sweet Georgia in the store, too. Now if I can only keep it in stock. She does such amazing work that it tends to fly out the door! Never fear - I’m keeping plenty of ongoing orders in line with her. :-) Your skein will go out in this mornings mail….
I can’t WAIT to see it! You know I don’t care when it gets done, and I see in the post above that it is… the fact of the matter is that you took on an endeavor of love and I appreciate it more than you know. Jayas gift was wonderful, and I’ll treasure it forever, but I’ll also treasure your silky goodness, and both are instant heirlooms.
Thank you for thinking of me, for sharing our day, and for just being you. *hugs*
I miss all my knitting peeps, and I have to say that I’m in dire need of a dose of ‘Chelle.
