Due to the extreme activity going on here during the week (*soccer Monday and Friday, volleyball Tuesday and Thursday) today I felt the need for escape, so little man and I headed off to Hudson for the artswalk, you know before the rain comes back again tomorrow. The kids and I used to go every year but for whatever reason we have missed it the past couple of years. It was only little man and I because nobody else wanted to go, little man, he’s to little to have any say so. So off we went just the two of us, and we had a blast. Little man was so well behaved! We wandered, we walked, we ran into friends, we lusted, and we ate.

It's always nice to have friend in high places
Our buddy Liz the meter person (thinking maid is not PC) one of little man’s favorite people. Oh and the little jetta from NJ I saved you a ticket by donating a dime to the meter, because Liz was on her way. The car in the photo not so lucky they were slammed by Liz for being in the yellow zone. No way for me to help with that. This was the first time I had ever seen her in uniform so I had to take a pic.
Tarred and feathered chair
This chair has been tarred and feathered and was one of my favorites on display. Could be because there a few people that I think could use this treatment. It was cool looking, but I’m thinking not to kid friendly.
heads, heads, everywhere
This was one of our favorite displays at the old handbag factory. It has this whole oompa lumba thing going on, the heads are all of the same mold.
old handbag factory
old handbag factory
This is the old handbag factory. This building was for sale for a very long time and I had dreams of winning the lottery and buying it. Well that dream is over, but it would still make the coolest house.
the orange one
I love this orange building! It has not always been this color and just sort of mixed in, but now it stands tall. I just can’t get enough of it. I have so many pictures of it since it makeover now I’m sharing my newest one with you all.
bicycle planter
Oh how I lusted after this. If you can’t tell it’s a planter, and I was willing to spend my whole Rhinebeck budget plus on it. Then I woke up. Must get woolly goodness and it’s a long way until spring again.
lunch at Mexican Radio
We ended our day with a late lunch at Mexican Radio. As a family this place is out of our budget, but little man he’s a cheap date and we kept it under $20 (well not including tip) Little man loved their salsa and could not get enough of it.

Now it’s back to the craziness.

*For those who are even slightly intrested Zach won both of his soccer games - with he himself scoring two goals in each game. Me and my girls lost all three of our volleyball games (one night was a double header). They played their hearts out, and they have improved so much since last year, especially at the net. This year they are actually working the net that excites me to no end. This concludes Michelle’s sport update.

Wonderful pictures of the artwalk! I missed the arts festival this fall, so I hope to hit the spring one with D… she loves to go.

Great pictures and it sounds like the two of you had fun. How old is he? When you asked the meter person what she likes to be called (because I dunno, maybe they have an official name for it) what did she say?

Hey - ya know that orange house? I lived about three houses down from it when I lived in Hudson!
