Today was good. I actually feel like I accomplished a bit today. I like the feeling, and honestly I do not feel it all too often. I was able to get a bunch of little things done that had, due to neglect, grown to a much larger scale. More assortied oddities have been packed and put away, given away, or thrown away. It wore me out though and I am totally exhausted. My arms are sore, my fingers hurt, oh I can go on - but I won’t.
I was even able to squeeze in some time for finishing. I am so bad at the actual finishing of a project. I will let it sit and linger forever when all that is needed is a few ends woven in. For example:

Pattern: Hello Yarn’s Irish Hiking Scarf
Yarn: Cascade 220 color?, used approx 1 1/2 skeins.
This was a lost object, forgotten about, and now finally found. The knitting was done before Christmas, all that was needed was a blocking to call it complete. It was to be a gift for the husband, that was prior to him telling me he really did not care for scarves. I put it away and totally forgot about it. Until it was found during the organization of knitty stuff. Now up one gift for this Christmas :-)
Now for a more recent finished object:

Pattern: Airy Cardigan, Interweave Knits, Winter 2004
Yarn: 4 Skeins GGH Softkid color 055
Size: Small (chest 35 1/2)
Modifications: Did not sew close the sleeve edgings, making a little split “v” opening at the bottom. Also missed the corrections on the sleeve edging so they are slightly different than the bottom edging.
I’m really liking this sweater. I love the fit, and the itchiness factor is not at all what I had expected - it’s really not that bad. Now I just need to find a couple of tanks to fit nicely underneath it.
In the picture above the top button is wonky, it has been fixed and is now evenly spaced. I just did not have the gumption to retake a new picture. Also the lack of modeled picture is due to I did not like the way any turned out.

Both projects look great. About how long did it take when you initially knit the bulk of the IH scarf? I’m looking for good holiday ideas. The cardigan is really lovely. Good job. BTW, I’m your October Birthday Swap partner.
Those look great! I love the cardigan … it turned our really nice! And that Irish Hiking scarf is beautiful too! I may have to make one of those for myself.
Nice! (both projects)
Wow. The Pink Number. Wow. It’s so pretty!!
That pink cardi is 2 DIE 4!!! Well done! (The scarf is lovely also).
