Stichy has come up with some crazy fun for Rhinebeck! I’m signed up - that’s right I’m a player and a square. If your going you need to check it out. Nothing like adding a little game playing to your fiber frenzy.

Lolly has opened sign-ups for Socktoberfest. I did not participate in this last year, (I was my normal lurk in the background self) but boy did I learn much. I’m thinking about signing up this year - you know go legit and all. Then again it’s so close to the holiday season I’ll be busy thinking of all the outlandish gifts I’m going to knit for the masses. The time when I lose all sense of reality (and my actual knitting capabilities) and really know that 20 hours of knitting/day is not illogical thinking in any way.
The new issue of Knitty has sparked some new KAL’s. Two of my favorites patterns both have one in the works. Stacey has started one for Lizard Ridge, and Risa has one going for Ivy. Ivy I’m signing up for. I have been assured that a commitment to finish is not required. This leaves me guilt free to partake in my normal actions of lust, buy yarn, never finish, find another must knit pattern, lust, buy yarn, yadda-yadda, etc., etc. The lovely Lizard Ridge will be high on my must lurk list because you know some beautiful pieces will be coming out of there. I have a skein Kureyon in the house - yes I’m swatching.
Norma is playing ring leader again for the red scarf project. Last year I found out about this project about two days before the scarfs were due - so it was a big no go. This year I’m on the ball and have already started an Irish Hiking scarf in some lovely red cascade 220 (new car knitting). Scarfs are not due till January so I should have plenty of time to finish :-)
If you can’t experience Webs yourself live and in person you can still experience the lure of 3.00 cones :-) Check out that top one of flamingo pink - is it calling to you? Come on you know you want it.
brooklyntweed has the best eyecandy! He has just finished the most gorgeous Shetland Triangle I have seen. Boy does this guy put out the goods. I found him when he was just starting Ene’s Scarf (via lurking on the Scarf Style KAL), and I’ve been hooked ever since. His knits - hot. Photos - totally hot. His mad knitting skills - to die for. I leave there and have the strongest urge shower then knit like a mad women. Wow his Shetland Triangle is really making the rounds. While doing some blog reading I’ve come accross a few that are linking to him today - so he may already be familar with many of you. Well if your like me you just can’t get enough - so go visit again. We shall make him king of the knitting blog world.
So now you know. Join. Lurk. Enjoy!

It would be so great to have you as a part of Socktoberfest this year! :) and I love your blog name!
(Yep, I am a big fan of BrooklynTweed too!)
Hi! I found your blog through a google search…just to let ya know, I started a KAL for Lizard Ridge too. I didn’t know there was going to be another one before I made the blog. It’s at lizardridgeknitalong.blogspot.com another place to lurk!
I think you should do Soctoberfest (nah… I’m no pusher) but consider it a fun way to knit some holiday gift socks. Kill two birds with one stone and all that!
