I love being off work on Mondays, it takes some of the pressure off on what needs to get done during the weekend. So today I was going to clean, clean, clean, and do some laundry - or at least that was my plan.
The day started off with a bang. I decided to go back to some of my FlyLady ways. My plan was to spend 15 minutes in each room. Then concentrate on our bedroom for the majority of the day all while fitting in loads of laundry here and there.
I was just going to spin for a moment. Just the few minutes it takes little man to fuss before he finally falls asleep. I entered a zone. Some type of spinning zone I have never experienced before. I’m spinning, listening to the tv news, praying for all the ones that lost loved ones on this day. It was all very surreal. The spinning really did help keep the emotions intact. (I really can’t express in words much more on 9/11. So many out there can, and have said it so much better. So I’m leaving it for them.)
I hear the kids bus, and so does little man. Little man’s up and the kids are now home, my zen experience comes to a jolting halt. Nothing is going to get done in the house now - because now starts the after school carnival hour:
Mom I need new gym shorts by tomorrow.
There is nothing in this house to eat.
Can we go on a bike ride?
Oops I forgot I had homework - can you help me with my English.
Mom I need help with my math.
Chelle look at my picture.
What’s for dinner?
What’s for dinner?
What’s for dinner?
Mom Nathan’s eating deodorant.
Oh to get back into that zone again. Today I did my best plying yet! (although you really can’t see it in the picture) I have about 100 yards of worsted 2-ply at 9 wpi. One bobbin of singles done and the second half way filled. I think total I should have slightly over 200 yards.

One thing I did realize today is that although hubby and I not long ago celebrated our 5th year anniversary, it was actually our 4th. Should I fill him in on this realization? Well you can’t say we were not made for each other. We were married the day after my oldest sons birthday, figured that would be a good memorable day. To bad we forgot to figure out something for the year.
We were married the year after 9/11.

Your yarn is lovely. Will you be bringing it by to show off tonight? :)
Ooooo … awesome yarn! I wish I could be there to paw on it!LOL
You know, you have to let me know if you decide to do that in pink.
