I can’t believe summer is almost over - I need at least another month of summer!! Back to school activities are already full throttle here. School has not even started yet and I feel so behind. I’m organizing all the old student files (let’sbeabletofindthisfileonedayinalogicalplace), and have already started volleyball practices with the girls. I have not even started the new decor for the classroom walls. I have no idea what I’m even going to do yet. All I have so far is a vague idea involving felt.
Life at home is just as busy with the kids end of summer activities coming to a close. Party here, party there, parties everywhere. I may be a bit cranky, but it’s hard at times when your children’s social life totally out does your own. But hey, I do get the joy of driving them everywhere.
Even though I’m saying that very sarcastically, it really has not been that bad. Acting as a chauffeur does have it’s advantages - like knitting time. In the moments here and the moments there I have almost completed my lotus blossom.

Oh she was a rough start - but now I’m in love. Love I tell you. See I really do need another month of summer so I can actually get some wear time in. Since the picture I have sewed the shoulder seams and have the neck edging done. I do/did have one arm finished but I have to take it out. I knit it way to tight and it’s threating to cut off my arm circulation. Not a good thing.
I also found a few moments to get some dots on Nicole’s dresser.

The drawers (not pictured) are done also. They are a limey green and will have white porcelain knobs as the pulls. I just have a few more dots to go, a clear coat, and this baby is done. Then on to the actual organizing of this room. If I keep at this snail pace it might be done in 2010. See again I’m showing the need for some more summer time.

I want more summer too! There’s so much to get done that I just can’t stand it some times. And yet I also want it to hurry up and be Autumn, for the obvious reasons. ;)
I love the dresser, you really are one of the coolest mom’s EVAH. And honey that tank is just gorgeous! Great job, can’t wait to see you wearing it.
