wool love is universal
The love of wool is universal
  1. The correct throwing method to actual skip a rock. The trick is to throw it like a frisbee - hard. Learned this from a 6yr old at the lake Friday.
  2. If you go to a spin out and dye day with your guild members, and you uh, forget your wheel, your guild members will not ever let you live it down.
  3. If you bring knitting to mentioned spin out you can slightly redeem yourself.
  4. If you bring knitting that looks slightly complicated - but really is not - you can even slightly impress them.
  5. I will never throw away another onion skin. It was the dye color I loved the most. It came out a golden orangish brownish yellow.
  6. Natural dying is so very, very cool.
  7. If you speak no Japanese and the Japanese speak no English you can still teach them how to use a drop spindle.
  8. The two young boys assingned to myself made me giggle when they copied my “peeinch” and “phuuul”
  9. I love that look in their eyes. That look when they get it. That look when they first realize that they are doing it all on their own. That look we all had at one time when we realize that “hey I am spinning”. That is universal! It’s the same in all languages.
  10. If you rent George of the Jungle not only do you get to see Brendan Fraser in a loin cloth, but you keep your almost two year old totally enthralled and entertained.
joy, joy, joy
Look at all the Joy :-)

That is so cool …. it really is amazing when a kid finally “gets it” on something. The sense of accomplishment is great!

Yes, Brendan Fraiser in a loin cloth … yummy!
