My weekend did not go as planned - does it ever? Although I wanted to (very, very bad) I did not make it to the spin out . I planned, I skeemed, I thought I finally had the train schedule figured out, but, but, but. I ended up giving it the big no go. The trains coming home were all so late I would have ended up getting home anywhere from 11pm to 1am, and I needed to be here a little bit earlier than that. All in all I guess it was a good thing I ended up not going. I would have already been gone not knowing about the change of venue (due to the rain) so I would have been stuck in the middle of central park all by my lonesome. No fun there.

I did spend the day busy - not spinning like I had planned but I did get some knitting in and a bit more work done on Nicole’s room. I spent the train ticket money on Chinese food and videos - so Zach and I had a video night.

The airy cardigan seems to be zipping by - I love that. Instant gratification, you know sometimes it is a good thing. I am ready to do a three-needle bind off on the shoulders then I start the sleeves.

Nicole’s room is bright! I’m now working on the trim.

blue and yellow oh my
room only a 12yr old could love :-)

Just so you know I usually do tape off the windows, but this old house is so old I’m using the paint as sealer for the panes. I will later have fun with the razor scraping all that stuff off - but think of the heat I’m saving :-) come winter. Oh when I win that lottery…..

Hope you all had a great weekend.

Just so you know - Cara is still taking donation for the Heifer International for the spin out. There are some really great prizes - even a spinning wheel was donated by someone (how cool is that) so donate, win the wheel, and send it my way ;) I got a couple of shares of pig and some sheep. Over 13,000 has been raised so far textile freaks rule!
