Down: Woke up Friday not realizing it was Friday - so I did not go to school. That’s not all though since I did not realize the day of the week, I also did not call in or anything. Had everyone worried that something happend to me….well nothing major did happen just a huge brain dump!! I did have two kids that got sick one after the other, missing school. So I’m blaming them - they totally threw me off. That’s right it’s all the childrens fault.
Up: Since it was such a beautiful day Friday (my Saturday), Nathan and I went to the park for a bit and played outside. He had a blast, and was totally cracking me up on the swings. If I was a good blogger I would insert < cute little baby picture > here, but I’m not. Shoot I did not even have the camera with me.
Up: After the park we went to Wonderful Things in Gt. Barrington. Where I rescued some more Rowan Denim from the orphanage, but I left 3 skeins there - you know for the next time I go, if no one gets them prior to - I get another cheap thrill. I also bought some pencil roving for only 7.50 for 6 1/2 ounces, good deal I think. It was a mistake they received at the shop, but are selling anyway. Maybe this stuff I can spin all nice and even. It is very thin though already, almost like the stuff that came in my peace fleece thrum mitten kit. So there’s always that option also. Nathan again had a blast. They had a new rocking horse toy, for him it was like going to the park all over again. I also bought the newest issue of Vogue, without even flipping through it.
Down: Have you seen this issue?? Pattern wise - not much. There are two hats that interest me. Article wise there are some good tidbits. Whatever, I will learn something from it anyway. I normally at least do a quick fiip through - but of course not on this day. The “must get new knit mag” fix was edging me on. What a let down.
Up: I aslo stoped by JoAnns, were I bought 20 yds of fabric for curtains at a cost of 22.00. It’s very nice stuff - huge clearance sale was going on where you received an additional 50% off the lowest price. It was like a 1.20/yd. Can’t beat that. These curtains are summer time curtains though. You know I like to pace myself project wise :-)
Down: What I wet to JoAnns for they did not any left, Rowenta (sp?) iron. So I missed out on that bagain. Which is ok I guess since I spent the iron money on the curtains. oops. Budgets blow!!
Up: At the local Goodwill I picked up a Singer knitting machine. It’s not the round one, it’s like a mini flat regular one. Don’t know how well it works or anything. But I’m sure Nicole and I will get at least the $5.00 it cost pleasure out of it. < another picture here would work > I did try to Google for a picture but all I come up with is the newer round crank one. I also bought some cool brown (very reto like) fabric with blue flowers on it. It very pop art looking, but in very cool colors.
Down: The USB cable to my new camera is MIA so even when I do actually take pictures I have no way of getting it on this machine.
Down: Did not get any real knitting done.
Up: Did catch up on some of my blog reading though. It’s such a twisted cycle at times, at least when your time is limited. Do I knit, or do I read about knitting. I went with the reading as you can tell.
Down: Now I’m bumming about the no knitting time.
Up: So that’s where I’m off to now
**side note: In my search for the knitting machine I came accross this
Lego knitting machine Now that’s a toy!!

Your brain dump on Friday is exactly like my brain dump last Monday… I spent so much time at work that Saturday that it didn’t even click in my brain and I went about trying to take advantage of my “two days” when it was really only one! Good news… my boss called me 5 minutes after I was supposed to be at work, and I was there within 20 minutes. *whew*
I understand completely about the budget thing… I bought 4 skeins of yarn today that wasn’t in the budget in order to make a sweater for my daughter because they didn’t have the size knitting needles I needed for a project I’m dreaming up that has a deadline.
This post’s hint(s): I’m one of the original members of the FiberRAOK webring, and a somewhat irregular poster on spinning & knitting yahoogroups such as Spindlers and SheepThrills. I’m a recently divorced (for the second time) single mother of a 5 year old girl, and I also have a cute orange and white tiger striped and spotted cat.
Oy sweetie, you’ve had quite the week! I hope to see you tonight, and I’m so excited about the start of our own Private KnitFlist. :) If Steve doesn’t email you by tonight with whom you’re supposed to have I’ll have him tell me so I can tell you who you’re going to spoil. Doesn’t matter if *I* know. LOL
Oh yoohoo… this would be your Private KnitFlist Pal a’knocking on your door. Just wanted you to know that you have someone out there just waiting to dazzle you with thoughtful gifts and grin as you try and figure out who you’re being spoiled by when we meet to knit on Tuesdays.
Well, due to cookies… THAT got spoiled. LOL I’ll still spoil you, ok ‘Chelle? I swear I changed the “name” section and everything. :(
Let me smack myself up the head and realise that I shouldn’t write when I’m tired. You don’t know me. You don’t know me, and I’m not ever confused by computers.
