Tonight was the first night of league play-offs for my girls volleyball team. They played great - but we still got knocked out and will be going no farther into the playoffs. I’m bummed - and relieved. No more late night game nights, that I’m very thankful for - but boy do I wish we were able to go all the way!!
CCA girl voleyball team and little man too
Are they not the cutest? (and that’s little man in there also)Girls your still the best!! And you taught me much (especially in the patience dept :-))

On the knitting front:
I’m still seaming little mans sweater - yes I know. How can one take so long to sew so little. Well it’s not like I’m working on it 24-7 or anything. Plus I had to stop by the store to pick up some more needles. You know because the hundred or so darning needles I have around the house just did not want to be found, at all!! - and the one I was using just up and disappeared. So I stopped by the Warm Ewe. I could have gone to Wally world (akaWalmart) and stayed out of trouble - but no - I stopped at the local yarn store just-for-needles. Again I gave into temptation. I got this beautiful brown colorway yarn to try the multidirectional technique with. (Yes Tina I know I bought yarn and it was brown ) I must say the colors are great - but the yarn itself is sort of pillly (is that a word?) It’s a 50/50 wool acyrilic blend - I really didn’t read the label till I got home. You know, because I had to buy quick, since I was only there for needles.

I have rationalized this whole thing out. No I did not need yarn just coming home from Rhinebeck and all. No I did not need more brown yarn especially, but it is oh so pretty. And so what if these needles cost me 27.00, if I had gone to Wally world they would have cost me about 75.00. Since that is what I often end up paying when I go to that blasted place for just one thing. So all and all, I saved 43.00. Now that’s a good thing!! And I got yarn to boot. Plus I only spent 27.00 at a yarn store, that’s very good for me lately.

But I am loving this MD knit. I have three triangles done so far and I just started last night. It’s so fun watching them start - then boom!- there it is.

We missed you the last couple of weeks. Is everything ok?

I can’t wait to see your yarn, btw, it sounds gorgeous. :)

And do your girls have to wear skirts to gym? *boggles*
