Rhinebeck is starting the day after tomorrow - that is the day after tomorrow!! For an event that I’ve been looking so much forward to - I’m really starting to stress out.

First there is the rain!! Will it ever stop? Is there a chance it will be cancelled due to rain? And if by chance it does stop - how muddy is this place going to be? I have only been to the fairgrounds in Rhinebeck once, about four years ago for a 4th of July fireworks/car derby. Being there for a derby only so far - I picture tons of mud.

Then there is my hubbies ever changing work schedule. He is supposed to work the overnight that Saturday- will it change once again last minute? I’m hooking up emergency daycare for the 5 yr. old just in case. The baby and Nicole are coming with me.

Then through the blog reading I have been doing I’ve learned that for real sheep and wool shows handknits are the thing to wear. Okay, that does make sense and all, a gathering of yarnaholics wearing their goods. But what are my goods? Any thing good has been gifted, not to many knit items for myself have I really done. The few I have going are not finished. The closest thing is mysteryshaw1. Which I had almost done - did not like clue3(with the tweedy yarn I’m using that is) so attempted to frog it - and ended up frogging it all the way. Since then I have learned about the oh so wonderful life line. So I started all over again. I’m close to being done-but still this event is the day after tomorrow - as stated before :-) I don’t knit well under duress.

Then there is the sweater from Knitty that I finished before summer even started for the little man. Finished but not sewn together that is. I have one sleeve and side to go on that-plus the button holes to tweak yet, and the sewing on of the buttons. He just might go with the open cardigan look. Shoot maybe he will go with the one sleeve look - call it nouveau for babies. Nicole is on her own. She has caught my must knit for sheep show madness though and is attempting to finish a scarf in some new yarn she got last weekend.

Ok - gotta go, Survivor with the kids time, and um yeah - knit. .

Don’t worry, I’m not wearing anything handknit. Except perhaps a pair of socks. ;)

LMAO Girl, this is RAIN OR SHINE, and it’s not bad, it’s a really professional site. regardless of the rain, the barns are enclosed and the walkways are paves in between buildings. It’s totally tricked out for all kinds of weather. Just DRESS WARMLY. In layers.

I’m so totally stoked myself it’s unbelieveable. I’m wearing the Adirondack stole, since I haven’t finished anything suitable in a while. I wish I’d had time to finish some fingerless mitts or something, or that blue diamond stole. The blue and white hat is too warm for this time of year. The Adirondack is beautiful though so I won’t worry.

I wish we could go together but alas. Have fun though and I can’t wait to see what you get!
