I’ve been out of blog land for two years now, I lurked occasionally, but I quit posting. My life was becoming a soap opera, a movie of the week, a sad tale, that I really did not feel comfortable sharing with the world. At first I started to just sugar-coat everything, not really ever giving the full story. Not that I really ever wanted to - you know there is only so much you can put out there. At the same time though I was feeling terribly dishonest in not sharing the whole story, like I was just putting on a pretty face. It wasn’t me - so I just stopped - and totally went off-line.
Two years and much has changed - for me and the blog world. Go figure. Tech wise I feel so out of it. The old saying is true, if you don’t use it, you lose it. And boy, have I lost it! It’s big-time cobweb clearing time. But it is also a good time - I feel as though I’m at a much better place now - and the important stuff will come back to me.
But this is a whole new start and a whole new blog. Not the geekgirl blog of the past - it’s now the “see I’m also crafty” blog of the future.
I think I’ll have an easier time with it not being so personal (I still keep a personal journal but totally low-tech now, you know on paper)
I’m sure bits of me, and my life will slip through. But the focus will be on knitting and my love for yarn, my brand new spinning wheel (and learning how to use it) quilting, sewing, needle point, home decor, and general dyi type of stuff.
